Condolences are pouring in from leaders around the world regarding yesterday’s mass shooting of 19 young children and two adults at an elementary school in Texas. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says all of Canada grieves with our American friends these “heartbreaking” deaths in Uvald. Pope Francis pleaded that it is time to say “’enough’ to the indiscriminate trade of weapons.” And Ukraine’s foreign minister, whose country is at war with Russia’s invading military, said his nation also knows “the pain of losing innocent young lives.” The attack by an 18-year-old gunman who was shot dead by law enforcement came just 10 days after a deadly, racist rampage at a Buffalo, New York supermarket.
