Workers at B-C ports have stopped loading and unloading cargo shipments again. They’ve resumed their strike at about 30 B-C ports. Their union leaders announced they were rejecting the tentative contract terms drawn up by a federal mediator in a bid to end the labour dispute with the B-C Maritime Employers Association. Those terms had been enough for the longshore and warehouse union to end its 13-day strike last Thursday. But the union leadership says employers have not addressed workers’ cost-of-living issues.
