Canada, Mexico and the E-U all say they were retaliate after the Trump administration’s gut punch to its allies by lifting an earlier exemption and imposing tariffs on steel and aluminum. Starting today, steel imports from Canada, Mexico and Europe will see a 25 per cent tariff, while aluminum imports get a 10 per cent tariff. Canada is moving to target a wide swath of American products worth about 16.6 billion dollars. Business leaders in Canada and the U-S are predicting dire economic consequences as result of the tariffs, which have touched off a storm of criticism on both sides of the Atlantic
