Temperatures records were set across the region on Thursday. In Campbell River, the temperature soared to 26.8 degrees — breaking the previous high of 25.6 in 1968. In the Comox Valley, the mercury climbed to 26.6 degrees — surpassing the old mark of 25.6 set in 1968. The temperature hit 24.9 degrees in Powell River — slightly above the previous high, also in 1968.
