The leaders of the four western provinces and three northern territories are holding their annual summer meeting in Edmonton on Thursday, and it’s likely to be a contentious first conference for host Jason Kenney. This will be the first time the Alberta premier has spoken face-to-face with his B-C counterpart John Horgan, and the provincial leaders are on opposite sides of the debate over the Trans Mountain pipeline expansion. Kenney says he will look for common ground with Horgan, noting both their economies were built on resources.
