An injured humpback whale that was spotted off Cape Lazo in Comox last summer has returned to local waters. Peter Hamilton with the ecology group Lifeforce says he noticed last month that the juvenvile whale had returned. Hamilton says when he saw the whale last year it had injuries consistent with entanglement from fishing lines. He says the whale was born and first seen in the waters off Cape Lazo in 2016.
