Federal N-D-P Leader Jagmeet Singh visit B-C on Thursday to unveil his proposals to make life more affordable in this province. He says his party would tackle money laundering by creating a dedicated unit of the R-C-M-P to track and fight the problem, and it would set up a national beneficial ownership registry to ensure property ownership can’t be hidden behind numbered companies. Singh, the N-D-P candidate in the Vancouver-area riding of Burnaby South, says his party would build on real estate measures already launched by the B-C government — such as the beneficial ownership registry — to further address the unaffordability of housing. Singh, Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau and Peoples Party of Canada Leader Maxime Bernier are all campaigning in B-C today, with the federal election just under four weeks away.
