The B-C government unveils its next budget on Tuesday. Finance Minister Carole James has promised to stay the course, while also keeping an eye on slowing economic growth. Since coming to power more than two years ago, the N-D-P has made controlling costs for families, with a focus on housing in particular, a hallmark of its economic policies. But James has also warned that stemming the losses at I-C-B-C — which hemorrhaged 2.5-billion dollars over the past two years — has meant there’s less money to spend on programs and services.
