Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says Canada is closing its borders to most people who are not citizens or permanent residents to slow the spread of COVID-19. The prime minister has also announced new rules for airlines. Starting Wednesday, overseas flights can only land at four airports in the country, Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Montreal. But the prime minister stresses the measures will not affect business or trade. Trudeau says the country is taking increasingly aggressive steps to keep everyone safe. At an afternoon press conference Health Minister Patty Hajdu confirmed food supplies in Canada will not run out. She also says the government is preparing to ask people to cancel gatherings larger than 50 people.
