The B-C government has extended the COVID-19 state of emergency for two more weeks as it applauds residents for buying in to efforts to contain the virus. Premier John Horgan says British Columbians should congratulate themselves for following physical distancing and other restrictions. Horgan says provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry will release up-to-date data models on Friday showing B-C’s successes in bending the curve of the pandemic. But he says it’s still too early to loosen restrictions.
