Singer Bryan Adams is being called a racist on social media for his COVID-19 rant on Twitter and Instagram. Adams blamed the global pandemic on — quote — “(expletive) bat eating, wet market animal selling, virus making greedy bastards.” He also complained the pandemic had led to the cancellation of a series of shows he was set to play in England. Some critics say Adams is contributing to anti-Chinese rhetoric while others say he’s losing sight of the true victims of the pandemic.
