Environment Canada is reporting the region saw above normal rainfall for the month of June.
In Campbell River, 81.3 millimetres of rain fell, about 129% of the normal 62.9 millimetres expected.
In Comox, 69.4 millimetres of rain was recorded at YQQ, approximately 162% of the normal 42.8 millimetres registered.
Enviroment Canada Meteorologist Armel Castallan says the extra moisture has set-up the province well to deal with the usual summer wildfire threat.
The fire danger rating across BC is very low to low, with pockets of moderate on Vancouver Island.
