The Conservatives and N-D-P are making it clear they want more than just numbers out of Wednesday’s federal fiscal snapshot.
They want action — including additions, changes, and expansions to COVID-19 support programs along with more accountability and transparency.
The Trudeau government is preparing its first update on the country’s finances after four months of COVID-19 and a forecast of where it expects the economy to head for the rest of the year.
Federal figures last week showed direct government spending on COVID-19 supports at just over 174-billion-dollars.
