Premier John Horgan says the government plans to continue its strategy of asking British Columbians to act responsibly after a recent surge in COVID-19 cases. Horgan says he was disappointed to view footage of large gatherings recently in Kelowna and Vancouver. But he says instead of threatening punishment, he’s appealing to young people to show better judgment and limit their contacts to help flatten the curve of the virus. He says he doesn’t believe the province began reopening too quickly but says residents should be prepared for further restrictions in the fall when people start spending more time indoors.
