Parents, students and teachers anxious about the coming school year received an outline about B-C’s plans for a safe return to full-time classes during the COVID-19 pandemic. Education Minister Rob Fleming says most students from kindergarten to Grade 12 will return to schools starting September 8th with school districts posting final details online by August 26th. He says students will be organized into learning groups to reduce the number of people they come in contact with on the advice of provincial health officer Doctor Bonnie Henry. Fleming says the province is allocating more than 45-million dollars to support enhanced safety measures, including increased cleaning, hand-hygiene stations and masks.
