Finance Minister Selina Robinson says it’s too early to say what impact the damage caused by devastating floods and mudslides will have on the province’s finances. A fiscal update for the July to September quarter shows the provincial economy was on track toward a strong rebound. But Robinson says a lot of assessment will need to be done to determine the cleanup costs associated with unprecedented rainfall in the province just over a week ago. She says there’s no doubt it will be “incredibly expensive” and she has spoken with federal Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland, who said Ottawa will help in the rebuilding effort in B-C.
