Close to 7 thousand BC Hydro customers on the North Island are without power following a transmission circuit failure. Hydro’s Ted Olynyk says crews are working on fixing the problem. “It could be something simple but we have no idea at this point,” says Olynyk. ” Unfortunately the weather is not cooperating so we can’t get a helicopter up and control it as quickly as we like, so we are sending ground crews in the area to see what the problem is.” BC Hydro customers from Woss to Port Hardy are affected by the outage.
