New COVID-19 restrictions came into effect as B-C reported two-thousand-550 new cases of the illness diagnosed over a three-day period ending Monday. The Health Ministry says more than 54-hundred infections were active, up from just under three thousand a week before, with 185 people in hospital. Three more people have died, bringing B-C’s death toll to two-thousand-402. The province says health officials are monitoring the rising case counts and they will outline additional measures at a briefing on Tuesday.
