Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is in B-C touting his party’s new climate plan which calls for reducing oil and gas emissions to net zero within the next 30 years, and it allocates three billion dollars to fuel the move to electric vehicles. Trudeau sayst 20 per cent of all new personal vehicles sold in Canada will be zero emission by 2026, climbing to 60 per cent by 2030 and he says every personal vehicle sold in this country will be zero emission by 2035. Trudeau heads to the B-C Interior on Wednesday for a meeting with the Williams Lake First Nation as members there deal with the discovery of possible human remains at a former Indian residential school.
