Best known as Princess Leia of the “Star Wars” franchise, she also authored books about her journey through drug addiction, mental illness and electroshock treatment. Canadian actor Dan Aykroyd, who was briefly engaged to Fisher in 1980, tweeted she was his “beautiful, brilliant, funny, wise, kind and generous Blues Sister.” In 2011, Fisher performed her acclaimed show “Wishful Drinking” at Toronto’s Royal Alexandra Theatre.
