Elections officials have rejected recount requests in three ridings that were closely contested in last week’s election. There will be recounts in the ridings Vancouver-False Creek and Courtenay-Comox. But Elections B-C turned down recount requests in three lower mainland ridings because they didn’t meet the criteria for a recount. However there are some 176-thousand absentee ballots that must be counted across the province and then applicants can request a judicial recount after the final vote tally is released this month.
