Men across the country will begin sprouting facial hair as part of Movember, the annual campaign to increase awareness of men’s health issues. Jesse Hayman with the Movember Foundation says getting men to talk about their health issues is an ongoing challenge. He says where men are right now, it’s no where near where we need to be. Hayman explains men still aren’t asking for help or talking about their health issues as they arise. The Movember campaign gets men to shave their faces on November 1st, and grow their beards and mustaches for the entire month of November, sparking conversations. You can sign up online on their website to track your progress and raise money for mens health. Over the past number of years, Canadians have raised more than $175 million to support men’s health programs.
