Changes are coming to the reservation system at B-C Parks. Environment Minister Mary Polak says the province has changed the rules for reserving campsites for 2017, in a move to address concerns about overbooking. The biggest change will be eliminating the one day scramble for available spots to a 4 month rolling system. Polak says they are hoping this reduced the chances of having all of the sites booked up on the first opening day, wit a big back log of people trying to get through. There was were some complaints this year of overbooking at some in-demand camping locations, as well as the reselling of spots at prime park locations. Demand for campsite reservations has increased 91% over the past five years.
