A survey done by Insights West for the BCAA, finds that many BC motorists aren’t prepared for winter driving conditions. Pollster Mario Canseco says many motorists don’t think about winter driving until it’s too late. A majority of BC drivers aren’t concerned about winter driving because they believe it won’t snow much in their area. “There are many drivers out there who don’t have winter tires and it’s not the kind of thing you can deal with when it starts snowing,” Canseco states. “This is moment to get prepared, get your winter kits, and learn a little about driving in the snow.” More that one third of those polled say there’s no need to prepare for winter driving because they consider themselves to be a good driver.
