Looks like this cold weather will continue another few days. Armel Castellan with Environment Canada says there could be some relief from these cold overnight and daytime temperatures as early as next week. Daytime highs this time of year normally hover around six degrees with overnight lows dropping to just above freezing. Meantime, Campbell River set a record overnight low on Wednesday. Temperature plunged to minus 12.8 degrees, surpassing the old mark of minus 7.8, set back in 1975.
