It was one year ago on December 29th that a 4.7 magnitude earthquake struck off the south coast of B-C. Jenn Houtby, an emergency planning consultant, says there were no reports of damage or injuries but the quake did serve as a wake up call. Houtby recommends putting together a home emergency kit that includes enough supplies to last 72 hours. She also recommends putting together a plan for family evacuation and reunification.
