Environment Canada is forecasting a return of winter weather with a snowfall warning in effect for the south coast this morning. A light band of snow is expected to move in this morning, affecting the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island. Environment Canada says a low pressure system through the day could bring heavier snowfall accumulating to about 5 to 10 centimetres in the evening. Warming temperatures on Saturday may turn the snow into rain, and freezing rain is a possibility in the Fraser Valley and through the Sea to Sky corridor.
