Starting on Monday, British Columbians who visit driver licensing offices across the province will be asked to declare whether they’d like to be an organ donor. The move is part of a bid to increase the number of organ donors across the province, and follows a pilot program that saw 15-thousand customers log their intention at four I-C-B-C locations last year. Shuswap M-L-A Greg Kyllo says there are more than 600 people across B-C waiting for an organ transplant. B-C Transplant’s executive director Leanna Appleton says it’s important to get the conversation around organ donation going and to create opportunities for those talks to happen
