A Vancouver lawyer for a pair of well-known marijuana activists says they plan to fight multiple drug-related charges laid against them. Marc and Jodie Emery were arrested at Toronto’s Pearson International Airport yesterday and police raided pot dispensaries associated with the couple in several cities, including Vancouver. The self-styled “Prince” and “Princess of Pot” appeared briefly in a Toronto courtroom today and police say they face numerous charges including trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime. The Emerys own the Cannabis Culture brand, used by a chain of 19 marijuana dispensaries in British Columbia, Ontario and Quebec.
