The annual Pacific National Exhibition won’t be changing its dates this year in hopes of chasing sunny weather. Fair officials had mulled moving the fair to late July, instead of the 17 days leading up to Labour Day. The final two weeks of the summer break have a history of rainy days, but P-N-E spokeswoman Laura Ballance says, despite that, dates for the fair won’t budge. She says it might have been different if the end of July was always sunny, but Vancouver’s unpredictable weather makes rain a possibility at any time of year.
