Flooding In BC Interior

/ 97.3 The Eagle
The province is expanding disaster financial assistance to residents in the B-C Interior affected by flooding. A news release from the B-C government says funding is available to homeowners, tenants, businesses, farmers and charities who were unable to obtain insurance coverage for disaster-related losses. The funding covers people in East, Central and Boundary Kootenay regional districts, along with Thompson-Nicola, Columbia Shuswap, North and Central Okanagan, and Okanagan-Similkameen. Flooding began on May 4th as summer-like temperatures spurred snowmelt just as heavy rains hit the region
