Premier Christy Clark’s days left in office appear to be numbered. Voters in the province elected a minority government earlier this month, with the Greens holding the balance of power. The Greens and New Democrats released details of an agreement yesterday that would support the N-D-P leading a minority government. Clark says she’ll reconvene the legislature by early June to allow for a confidence vote, which will determine if the Liberals remain in power. She says while it’s likely the Liberals will lose, its ultimately up to the Lieutenant Governor to decide whether to give the New Democrats a chance of forming government or call another election. New Democrat Leader John Horgan says his party is anxious to get started, and he hopes Clark calls the legislature to order soon.
