A huge wildfire burning west of Kamloops has flared again, prompting a new evacuation order.
The 615-square-kilometre blaze began almost three weeks ago near Ashcroft and has now burned north, past Cache Creek to the area northeast of Clinton, where the latest evacuation order was issued for a handful of properties.
Evacuees have been told to register with the Red Cross in Kamloops.
About 19-thousand people remain out of their homes because of the more than 150 wildfires burning across B-C, but the 10-thousand residents of Williams Lake hope they will be allowed to return to that city within days as crews build guards around nearby fires.
