B-C Premier John Horgan says it will take years for ranchers, tourism companies and communities to recover from wildfires that have swept through the province this season. But Horgan, who visited several communities in the Interior with Forests Minister Doug Donaldson today, says financial help will be part of the rebuilding process. Kevin Skrepnek of the B-C Wildfire Service says 138 wildfires were burning across the province today, adding to the season’s total of more than 11-hundred fires since April 1st. Despite the length and intensity of the fire season, Skrepnek says the good news is that there haven’t been any fatalities or serious injuries.
