B-C’s auto insurance company is looking for drivers willing to detach from their phones while behind the wheel. The Insurance Corporation of B-C wants 200 volunteers for a pilot program that will test new technology aimed at curbing distracted driving. Drivers will install a device in their car that communicates with an app on their phone, and blocks the phone from being used while the car is being driven. I-C-B-C says the program is scheduled to launch in January, with a report on the results due out next spring.
