B-C Addictions Minister Judy Darcy says pharmacies handing out free kits containing the overdose-reversing drug naloxone will not track identifying information about the people who use them. The province says about 19-hundred naloxone kits have been distributed to 220 pharmacies across the province to help tackle the opioid overdose crisis. Darcy says the kits will be provided to anyone who is using drugs or is likely to come into contact with someone who might overdose. She says pharmacists will provide training in recognizing and responding to overdoses and how to use the life-saving kits.
