Federal N-D-P Leader Jagmeet Singh is holding a special event in Burnaby on Wednesday, fuelling more speculation that he’ll run in a riding in the city. Singh became party leader last October but doesn’t have a seat in Parliament, and the Burnaby South riding opened up in June when M-P Kennedy Stewart stepped down to run for mayor of Vancouver. The leader has visited the riding several times in the past month and today he’ll visit an outdoor studio of a film production facility. He hasn’t confirmed publicly he intends to run in the riding but says both Stewart and local interest groups have urged him to join the race.
